Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Hello guys!! I am back with an amazingly easy and delicious Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Smoothie Recipe ready to be whipped up during early morning rush hours Breakfast and as a post workout smoothie. This smoothie is a winner with kids and adults alike and can be customized as per everyone's needs. Also it's a good way to introduce your kids to smoothies.

This smoothie recipe is inspired from my Office Cafeteria. I am not a very strawberry person, but some how this smoothie that they make is just awesome!! Yesterday was the first time i asked this girl who serves them what exactly do you guys add? I tried them at home, but couldn't quite get the right taste. "Honey".....yes!!! All this while, i assumed strawberry and banana is enough to sweeten the smoothie ,but apparently not all strawberries are sweet. Not even the California ones. And mostly it also depends upon the season. The very first thing i did yesterday after reaching home was taste strawberries we bought on weekend, and they weren't very sweet, at the same time not overtly sour also. It will help some additional sweetener while using them.
They don't add oats in my office for this smoothie, but i added them, helps to have in some good quality rolled oats into your smoothie, apart from the numerous health benefits, they also help in thickening the smoothie.

You can either use rolled or quick oats. I like the rolled ones a lot. Have you tried using rolled oats yet? Check them out here. What do you guys give to your kids for breakfast? Shoot me a comment below and i would love love to know it(I am equally difficult with breakfast)Would you like to introduce them to smoothies? That as per is the best thing to happen to them in these upcoming festive season were there will be all sugar, sugar and more sugar and some refined flour and many such stuff which do nothing good as kids tend to over-eat them. Sneak in some spinach in the smoothies, trust me when i say, it is not recognizable. That brings me to , have you tried my Vegan Avocado Banana Smoothie and Mango Spinach Smoothie yet?

Try to buy berries and bananas and freeze them!! Yes, frozen berries and bananas make the best smoothies due to their texture. Also, they stay fresher for a longer period of time. Let's hop on to the recipe.
